Call Senator Natasha And Settle Or Everything You Built Will Go Up In Smoke - Dele Momodu Warns Akpabio

Dele Momodu Calls for Peace: A Warning to Senate President Akpabio

Listen up, folks. The esteemed veteran journalist and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dele Momodu, has stepped into the fray, offering some serious advice to Senate President Godswill Akpabio. He’s urging Akpabio to seek peace with the suspended Kogi Central lawmaker, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. This isn’t just a casual suggestion—it’s a wake-up call.

Momodu made it crystal clear that trying to recall Senator Natasha over her allegations of sexual harassment against Akpabio is not only unnecessary but also potentially damaging. In a world where political battles can escalate into full-blown wars, reconciliation often proves to be the wisest path forward. And let me tell you, Dele Momodu knows a thing or two about politics and its complexities.

Why Reconciliation Matters: A Lesson for Akpabio

The PDP chieftain took the opportunity to weigh in on the escalating tension between Natasha and Akpabio. He emphasized that unless Akpabio chooses to reconcile with the suspended Kogi Senator, he might find himself on the losing end of this battle. It’s a classic case of “choose your battles wisely.”

He warned that everything Akpabio has worked so hard to build could literally go up in flames unless he takes the necessary steps to settle this dispute amicably with Natasha. That’s a powerful statement, and it carries a lot of weight coming from someone with Momodu’s experience and influence.

Politics Gone Awry: The Wike-Fubara Saga

While addressing the Akpabio-Natasha situation, Momodu also took a moment to critique the ongoing feud between the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, and his predecessor in Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara. He pointed out that their personal disagreements have spiraled out of control, plunging the state into an avoidable political crisis.

Here’s what Momodu had to say: “And even in this his crisis, I think the game they are playing is wrong. I expected him (Akpabio) to seek peace rather than all this acrimony that we want to recall a Senator. What do you gain, what do you benefit? Look at it after the recalling; then it becomes an anti-climax. Same thing in Rivers, where Wike insisted on removing his predecessor, whom he installed himself just because they fell out due to personal reasons between them, now the whole state is suffering.”

Momodu went on to remind Akpabio of his past achievements. “So, Akpabio, my advice to him, now that you are emphasizing his picture is that once upon a time, some of us admired you as a great leader in Akwa Ibom who developed that state, but today, you are being distracted by allegations just because of the sitting arrangement. If I were in your shoes, I would call Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and find a way to bring her back and settle this matter once and for all; otherwise, it’s not going to augur well for you. Everything you ever built will go up in smoke.”

Naija News: The Recall Threat Looming Over Senator Natasha

According to Naija News, Senator Natasha is currently facing the threat of a recall by some members of her constituency. This development comes just weeks after she accused Senate President Akpabio of sexual harassment during a heated argument over a sitting arrangement in the Senate Chamber. The situation has sparked widespread debate and drawn attention to the importance of addressing conflicts with maturity and respect.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, one thing is certain: the choices leaders make today will shape the future of their legacies. Whether it’s Akpabio, Wike, or any other political figure, the path to progress often lies in resolving disputes with wisdom and grace.
