NYSC Boss Vows to Prioritize Corps Members’ Health

Listen up, folks. Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has made it crystal clear: the health and well-being of corps members is non-negotiable. He assured everyone that his administration will go the extra mile to ensure that every single corps member gets top-notch healthcare throughout their service year. This isn’t just a promise; it’s a commitment to action.

Now, here’s the deal. Corps members often find themselves in situations where they face health risks and challenges. Whether it’s due to their environment or the nature of their service, these young Nigerians need more than just basic medical care. That’s why General Nafiu is pushing for a robust health package that will cater to their every need, ensuring they stay healthy and ready to serve the nation.

A Visit to Strengthen Partnerships

Naija News has learned that this bold statement came during General Nafiu’s first official visit to the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Kelechi Ohiri, at his Abuja office. This wasn’t just a casual meeting—it was a strategic move to solidify the partnership between NYSC and NHIA, ensuring that corps members get the healthcare they deserve.
