On a Friday afternoon, after a special Juma’ah prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja to celebrate his 73rd birthday, President Tinubu took a moment to express his gratitude to God for the gift of life and the chance to serve Nigeria. With a warm smile, the President shared his thoughts, saying, “I feel good. I feel happy. I thank the Almighty Allah, who has protected us and continues to answer our prayers.”

Turning 73 on March 29, 2025, Tinubu made it clear that the safety and welfare of Nigerians remain his highest priorities, both in his leadership and in his daily prayers. He passionately declared, “We have prayed for our country. We prayed for the stability and peace of the nation. We prayed that Almighty Allah will safeguard our people and all citizens.”

  • Reflecting on the powerful sermon he heard during the prayer session, Tinubu emphasized the importance of combining hard work with unwavering faith to drive the nation forward. He remarked, “The word for all of us is hard work. You work harder, and you pray harder. That’s the inspiration I got from today’s sermon.” He added, “We thank God Almighty that at this stage, we are still in it and working.”

    Leading the special prayer was Dr. Abdulkadir Salman Solagberu, the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate, who extended his blessings to the President, pledging continuous prayers for his good health, strength, and wisdom to lead the nation. Dr. Solagberu highlighted the importance of praying for national peace and stability, emphasizing that these are crucial for the development and well-being of all Nigerians.

    Prof. Muhammad Kabir Adam, the Imam of the National Mosque, also expressed his gratitude to the President and First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for their generous support to the less fortunate during Ramadan. He conveyed a powerful message, saying, “Mr. President, Allah is with you, and you will succeed.” Prof. Adam encouraged Muslims to keep praying for the country and to extend goodwill beyond the fasting season.
